DIRECTIONS Directions from Lisbon Airport to Alvaiazere Leave Airport and take an early left turn following sign’s for A1 North (Porto). Once clear of Lisbon you pass through the tolls Follow the A1 for about 1hour (120 kilometers) look for sign’s for Torres Novas - Entroncamento – Tomar. Take this junction (junction 7) Take the A23 (IP6) follow signs for Torres Novas - Entroncamento – Tomar. Take the turning to Tomar This is a new road and should be signed IC3 Tomar (do not turn off to Tomar) Follow the IC3 this will bypass Tomar and turn from a major road into a little country lane N110. Follow signs for Coimbra This road is a small twisty road after about 10 to 15 mins you pass through a village called Pereiro. Once out of the village take a Left hand turn to Alvaiazere. (If you pass a garage on the right you have gone too far) Follow this road until you reach a roundabout take the 3rd exit to Ourem / Fatima. We are about 500m on your right (white walls and big painted gates)
Directions from Porto Airport to Alvaiazere These directions at 1st are a little vague but a lot of the roads around the airport are new. Leaving airport you rise up a short slope and go onto the motorway. Within about 500/1000 meters take 2nd turning, you are heading towards Porto and looking for sign’s for the A1 to Lisbon. Keep Following A1 (VR1?) to Lisbon do not take any small slip roads into Porto. But you are heading in the general direction of Porto. Keep following A1 to Lisbon and you end up on the toll Motorway this is the A1 Lisbon road. After about 1 hour (120 kilometers?) You will see signs for Coimbra north then Coimbra south. Take next exit to Condeixa once through tolls you take the 1st turning on the right to Tomar. You are now on the worst piece of road in Portugal. Keep following Tomar sign’s through several sets of traffic lights and over a roundabout. Take a right hand turn signed Tomar / Lousa up to a roundabout 3rd exit to Tomar You are now on the IC3 / N110 follow this road for about 1 hour you will pass Penela on you left. Once you pass over the IC8 (Pombal / Serta) in approx 10 k take any of the sign’s on your right to Alvaiazere. This takes you over the hills and into the village of Alvaiazere. Follow signs for Tomar/Fatima/Ourem driving through the town passing a garage on your right as you are heading out of town. Follow this road until you reach a roundabout take the 1st exit to Ourem / Fatima. We are about 500m on your right (white walls and big painted gates). Alvaiazere Town Map
